Asymmetric leeway-preventing plane for a multi-hull comprising 2 foils (wings) 1, 1' forming a unitary structure pivoting approximately through 180 DEG about a longitudinal shaft. This shaft can itself be moved athwartships and can be driven by jacks 16 controlled by speed and pressure sensors attached to the increased-pressure surface and the reduced-pressure surface of the centreboard. With the multi-hull sailing, the foil (wing), being in the water, has its convex reduced-pressure surface on the windward side. When the multi-hull goes about, the centreboard pivots about the shaft 4 and then has its convex reduced-pressure surface on the other side. The shaft 4 carrying the centreboard is driven athwartships by jacks slaved to sensors attached to the centreboards so that the foil (wing) in the water makes an angle of incidence which gives it optimum efficiency. <IMAGE>
