<p>PURPOSE:To previously eliminate the possibility of malfunctions of a microprocessor by connecting a pulse generating part to an instruction decoder and applying the output of the pulse generating part to the internal and external circuits via a buffer part. CONSTITUTION:An instruction decoder 1 interprets a reset instruction and gives an instruction to a pulse generating part 2 to produce pulses. The produced pulse is given to an internal circuit as a reset signal for initialization of a hardware system of a microprocessor. The part 2 is reset to its initial state when the generation of pulses is through. A buffer part 3 usually supplies an external reset signal to the internal circuit. The pulse signal is given to the outside and also to the inside only when the output of the part 2 is available. In such a constitution, the reset state is always kept under the fixed conditions so that the possibility of malfunctions can be simply and previously eliminated for the microprocessor.</p> |
