PURPOSE:To detect an instantaneous disconnection without overlooking it and to stop an NC machine, etc. by providing a disconnection detecting circuit on each signal line of an encoder input and providing a disconnection holding circuit, a disconnection display circuit and an emergency stop circuit. CONSTITUTION:A signal which has been sent from an encoder 1 passes through a filter 2 and sent to a pulse counter circuit 3. A disconnection detecting circuit 4 for detecting a disconnection is provided in parallel to said circuit 3, and a disconnection detecting signal outputted from this circuit 4 is received by an emergency stop circuit 5 and a disconnection detecting and holding circuit 6. In this circuit 5, an NC machine, a robot, etc. are stopped quickly, and in the circuit 6, a disconnected part is held, and also, the generation of a disconnection is displayed by a line disconnection display circuit 7. |
