<p>PURPOSE:To execute high frequency quenching for giving hardened layer of a work having uniform depth by holding both end parts of the work with a sleeve and holding mechanism and adjusting expansion/shrinkage of the work at the time of quenching treatment with sleeve driving mechanism. CONSTITUTION:One end of the crankshaft 10 to be work is held with the sleeve 30 and the other end is held with the holding mechanism 100 and the sleeve 30 is connected with the sleeve driving mechanism 40. This driving mechanism 40 is connected with fluid pressure source 59 and the air A through a four way changeable type solenoid valve 50, and the solenoid valve 50 is made to a 51 state in the figure and by connecting the work side cylinder space 44 with the air A and the reverse work side cylinder space 45 with the fluid pressure source 59, the crankshaft 10 is fixed with the sleeve 30 and the holding mechanism 100. Successively, the solenoid valve 50 is made to a 52 state in the figure and both spaces 44, 45 are connected with the air A, and the high frequency quenching is executed while rotating the crankshaft 10. By this method, the expansion of the crankshaft 10 caused by heating and the shrinkage of the crankshaft 10 caused by cooling are absorbed with the piston 42, respectively and the development of strain in the crankshaft 10 and fall-out of the crankshaft 10 are prevented and hardened layer having uniform depth is formed.</p> |
