PURPOSE:To obtain the title material with improved sensitivity and color retention by incorporating a specified photosensitive particle in a photosensitive photographic emulsion, and by composing a sensitizing dye host crystal of a sensitizing dye having cyclodextrin or its derivative as a substituent. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive photographic emulsion contains a photosensitive particle composed of the sensitizing dye host crystal and a silver salt particle capable of forming a latent image which has a conductive contact, namely a contact capable of transmitting an electron from the host crystal to the conduction band of a silver salt particle. The sensitizing dye host crystal is composed of the sensitizing dye having the cyclodextrin or its derivative as the substituent. The sensitizing dye is exemplified by a cyanine dye, a merocyanine dye, a composite cyanide dye, a composite merocyanine dye, a hollow polar cyanine dye, a hemicyanine dye, a styryl dye and a hemioxanol dye. Thus, the photographic sensitive material with improved sensitivity and color retention is obtd. |
