The invention relates to a plough guide which in its essential components consists of angle plates (3) screwed on the face side to the conveyor, sliding distance pieces (5) arranged between a top chain passage (14) and a bottom chain passage (15) for the plough chain, and cover plates (4) which are connected in the foot area to the sliding distance pieces and in the head area to the angle plates. According to the invention, the sliding distance pieces are centred relative to the upright leg of the angle plates (3) by means of sturdy centring sleeves (24) which preferably consist of forgings and are welded to the sliding distance pieces. At the same time, the cover plates (4) are connected in the head area to the top ends of the angle plates via centring screws (50) which reach through mating bores (51). It is advisable to provide at the level of the top chain passage (14) a second screw row (38) while using distance plates (40) which form defined bearing surfaces for the angle plates on the pans of the conveyor. In addition, the invention comprises the special design of the centring pieces (24), the centring plates (40) and the centring screws (50). <IMAGE>
