1. A process for the preparation of formulations of sparingly water-soluble to water-insoluble azo dyes by simultaneous diazotisation and coupling in a single-vessel reaction, filtering the dye dispersion and, optionally, subsequently drying the dye, which comprises carrying out the simultaneous diazotisation and coupling by thoroughly mixing the aqueous solution or suspension of the reactants, in the presence of one or more surface-active agents, concentrating the dilute dye dispersion by means of a membrane separation process, and at least partially removing salt and/or acid from the dispersion and, without any grinding, converting it into a storage-stable liquid formulation or, by drying, into a solid dye formulation. |
