<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate an operation for inserting an optical fiber bundle into a flexible tube by fitting a pipe member for reinforcement to the end of the optical fiber bundle after the optical fiber bundle is inserted into the flexible tube. CONSTITUTION:After the optical fiber bundle is inserted into the insertion part 3 of an endoscope 1 without fitting the pipe member 30 for reinforcement to the end part thereof, the pipe member 30 for reinforcement is fitted onto the end part of the optical fiber bundle at the time of inserting the optical fiber bundle to the insertion part of the above-mentioned endoscope. The diameter in the end part is, therefore, reduced at the time of insertion and the smaller insertion space for the optical fiber bundle is necessitated in a flexible tube 7 in which the other insertion object such as channel for a forceps or air- or liquid feed tube is guided. The insertion operation is thereby facilitated and the possibility of damaging the channel for the forceps and the air- or liquid feed tube is eliminated. In addition, the formation of the pipe 30 for reinforcement to the larger thickness is possible and the deformation thereof is prevented.</p> |
