PURPOSE:To give the high sensitivity, the high definition and the sufficient resist characteristics to the title material by using a specific modified maleic anhydride copolymer as a base polymer, and by incorporating prescribed amounts of a photopolymerizable monomer and a specified photosensitizer in said polymer, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The recording material for visible light contains 100pts.wt. of the base polymer composed of the modified maleic anhydride copolymer, 5-500pts.wt. of the photopolymerizable monomer, 0.01-10pts.wt. of an org. coloring matter and 1.0-50pts.wt. of a radical initiator. The modified maleic anhydride copolymer has >=40% the ring-opening ratio of an acid anhydride ring due to a compd. shown by formulas I-III, and >=1% the additional ratio of a (meth)acryloyl group to a compd. shown by formula III contd. in the copolymer, which is shown by: [numbers of added (meth)acryloyl groups/numbers of acid anhydride rings X 100]. In formulas I-III, R1 and R3 are each 1-12C alkyl group, etc., R2 is 1-12C a satd. compd. residual group, R4 is hydrogen atom or methyl group. Thus, the high sensitivity, the high difinition and the sufficient resist characteristics of said material are obtd. |
