BIAXIALLY ORIENTED POLYESTER FILM

PURPOSE:To obtain a flat film having excellent slipperiness and scuff resistance, by blending an aromatic polyester with specific spherical fine titanium oxide particles. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented polyester film formed from an intimate blend consisting of (A) an aromatic polyester and (B) 0.005-4wt.% [based on the component (A)] spherical fine titanium oxide particles having a particle diameter ratio defined by a ratio of the maximum to the minimum diameter within the range of not exceeding 1.2, 0.01-4mum average particle diameter and >=70m<2>/g BET specific surface area. An aromatic polyester containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid as a main acidic component and a fatty acid glycol as a main glycol component is used as the component (A). The component (B) has preferably 0.05-3mum average particle diameter.
