A device for contact-free transmission of power, using electricity, between a transmitter and a receiver is intended to make this transmission possible for daily use at high efficiency. For this purpose, the transmitter (10) has a primary coil (16) on a control element (20), and this primary coil (16) is located at a free distance, which is essentially partially formed by an air gap, from a secondary coil (14) of the receiver (11), which can move relative to the transmitter, it being possible to transmit inductive power between the coils and up to several hundred watts at a frequency of approximately 10 kHz or less.
