In situations in which no firm base is available, in order to be able to fix writing supports, card mountings and other articles simply and strongly, the supporting strip (1) according to the invention is used, having two hoops (2 and 2a) to engage around the thigh or an arm and having a bearing surface (1) on the upper side, with two partly movable hooks (4 and 4a) or another fixing apparatus (see attached illustration). With these hooks, information media such as clipboards (writing support) can be secured. <IMAGE>
