The invention relates to a temperature-dependently triggerable releasing device, for example for controlling fire-fighting means which are held in a closed position against a spring by means of such releasing devices. The releasing device comprises identical housing halves of a claw-like shape which, arranged counter to each other, engage in each other and thereby receive between them an ampule which is designed to burst when subjected to a predetermined temperature. The housing halves are braced on the ampule by clamping elements, with axial support, so that tensile forces introduced into the housing halves via the clamping elements are taken up by the ampule as compressive force. After bursting of the ampule, the housing halves fall apart, so that the spring (10) can switch for example a valve out of its closed position into the open position.
