<p>The IC card in accordance with the present invention is provided with a semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) in a casing (1) and makes it possible to store, write and read data. Power can be supplied from an optoelectromotive force means (5) to the IC by merely bringing the casing (1) into contact with an adaptor (4) and the transfer of signals to/from an external circuit can be made through optical transmission/reception means (6, 7). Accordingly, the card can be made compact and its contact can be dispensed with.</p> |
