Winding apparatus for the winding of continuously arriving material webs

In a known winding apparatus, the contact-roller unit is moved in steps relative to the stationary winding unit and, between the individual steps, the oscillating contact-roller suspension is pushed away from the winding shaft through the material package counter to a braking force. The oscillating movement of the contact roller acts on the light barrier which controls the stepping of the contact-roller unit. This leads to irregularities in the pressing force and therefore in the package density. The new arrangement is to have a simple construction and be variable and is to lead to a regular winding. The winding unit and contact-roller unit are movable relative to one another, the contact-roller unit is mounted fixedly and the winding unit is movable horizontally relative to the contact-roller unit. Coupling devices serve for coupling and fastening the winding unit to the frame of the contact-roller unit. The invention makes it possible to combine the fixed contact-roller unit with different winding units.
