HAIR CONDITIONING COMPOSITION

A hair conditioning composition giving an improved conditioning effect to hair, without unduly increasing the cost, consists essentially of the following components: (A) from 0.1 to 5 % by weight of at least one organic quaternary ammonium conditioning agent, (B) 0.5 to 5 % by weight of a handle modifier, (C) 0.1 to 2 % by weight of a thickener, (D) 0 to 2 % by weight of a non-ionic surfactant, (E) 0.001 to 2 % by weight of a non-volatile polydiorganosiloxane introduced as an oil-in-water emulsion, (F) 0 to 1 % of optional ingredients which are conventional additives for conditioning compositions and (G) water.
