<p>A steering device for steerable front wheel (3) and rear wheels (10) of vehicles has a front wheel steering system (1) and a hydraulically assisted rear wheel steering system (6). A electric signals from a front wheel steering angle sensor (11), rear wheel steering angle sensor (12) and a road speed sensor (14) are processed in an electronic control unit (15) in order to permit an electrical actuation of a control valve (16) of the rear wheel steering system (6). The reduction ratio of the steering lock of the front wheels (3) and rear wheels (10) is modified in function of vehicle speed. In addition to the electric control signals, a control valve (16) receives hydraulic control signals from a master-cylinder (17) in kinematic connection with the front wheel steering system (1), for the control of the steering motor (7) of the rear wheel steering system (6).</p> |
