A handle (1) is integrally connected to a coupling part (2) which can be interchangeably connected to a tool (3). The coupling part (2) has a bore (5) extending inward from the front face (4) facing the tool (3), in which a pin-shaped coupling part (6) secured to the tool (3) can be inserted. A bolt-shaped locking element (8) movably held in the coupling part (2) in a plane perpendicular to the bore (5) engages, in the locking position, in a recess (7) on the pin-shaped coupling part (6) and the opposite side rests against an actuating pin (11) which is movably guided in a second bore (10) parallel to said bore (5) and can be pressed inwards against the action of a spring (12). In the inwardly depressed position, a recess (18) on the periphery of the actuating pin (11) is level with the bolt-shaped locking element (8), which can therefore move sideways into the recess (18) and is released from the locking position, so that the pin-shaped coupling part (6) on the tool (3) can be detached from the coupling part (2). The easily manipulated coupling is a body with essentially smooth outer walls and, together with the handle, constitutes, in a chrome-plated version, an easily sterilizable surgical instrument. |
