<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration of the resolution of a luminance signal at the central part of a display screen by changing the chrominance signal of an image at the both side of the display screen to single side band modulation for a subcarrier. CONSTITUTION:By a filter 21, the luminance signal component and the chrominance signal component of a signal which is multiplexed are extracted. Then, an in-phase component, that means, only the chrominance signal component is extracted at adjacent scanning lines in a filed by a filter 22. After making this chrominance signal component to be 1/4, it is passed through a band- pass filter 23 and subtracted from the output of a delay circuit 24. As the result of that, the luminance signal is double-sides-band-modulated and a signal obtained by signal-side-band-modulating the chrominance signal is obtained.</p> |
