In order to simplify urine measurements for the staff, the invention proposes a urine meter (20) with a reception vessel (22) which has a wall (34, 36, 38) defining a cavity (40) and an opening (44) at the top which opening communicates with the cavity (40). Furthermore, the urine meter (20) comprises a container (24) having a flexible wall (74, 76) which defines a chamber (78). The container (24) is fastened on the top part of the reception vessel (22) and has an opening (80) which communicates with the chamber (78) and via the opening (44) in the reception vessel (22) with the cavity (40). Furthermore, the urine meter (20) comprises an inlet pipe (28) leading to the cavity (40) for passing liquids into the cavity (40). A relatively rigid lid (110) extends over a considerable part of the top part of the reception vessel (22). The urine meter (20) has a device for the pivotable bearing of the lid (110) in order to move the reception vessel (22) between a first, lower, upright position in which the liquid is collected in the cavity (40) and a second, upper, pivoted position which is suitable for emptying the collected liquid from the cavity (40) into the chamber (78). <IMAGE>
