PURPOSE:To increase velocity and driving force by providing a plurality of projections at a specific interval along lengthwise of the main surface of an elastic plate and inserting a piezoelectric substance. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator is such that projections 12 are provided to an elastic plate 11, and that a piezoelectric substance 13 is inserted between them. There is a resonance frequency of a primary longitudinal oscillation mode is in the vibrator, when an electric field of the resonance frequency is applied to the piezoelectric substance 13, the stress is transmitted to projections 12 and the elastic plate 11 from the contact surfaces 14 with the projections 12, and as the result the overall vibrator resonates. Accordingly, the piezoelectric substance 13 comes into contact with only projections 12 through the contact surfaces 14, there is no room for generating the slip stress between the elastic plate 11 and piezoelectric substance 13 in terms of construction, and the piezoelectric substance 13 is hard to come off so that vibration with a more powerful power is possible. |
