PURPOSE: To use generated music information by other functions of a telephone set etc. by storing music information as digital information and reproducing this digital information in the tone of a designated musical instrument. A classification of a musical instrument with which music information will be reproduced is designated, and stored digital information is modulated by an FM sound source 4 and is reproduced as music information in the tone of the designated musical instrument. A range of music information is designated to segment the music information, and this segmented music information is stored in a memory as information of other functions, and such operation is performed that segmented music information can be used in other functions (telephone set 6).
