PURPOSE:To enhance power factor, to improve efficiency and to reduce high-frequency components by charging a battery with electricity via a step-down operation chopper, and by causing said battery to discharge via a discharge diode. CONSTITUTION:A three-phase AC input is rectified by a first rectifier 2a and supplied to a battery 7, and converted into AC by a first inverter 8a, 8b, rectified again by a second rectifier 10a, 10b via insulating converter 9a, 9b and supplied to a three-phase AC load via a second inverter 13. The battery 7 is charged with electricity via a step-down type chopper 24. A discharge from the battery 7 is performed via a discharge diode 27. The first inverter 8a, 8b is composed of a current type inverter to perform a momentary waveform control by high-frequency switching. |
