A disc-shaped wheel cover made of plastic has a circumferential, axial casing which has relatively thin walls and is flexible and has a reinforced, free edge which is divided into a row of resilient sectors which have a reinforced end region which can be snapped into the groove in the bead seat. The resilient sectors are reinforced by a resilient metal ring which is open and has a gap. On the disc there are provided two sockets into which the corresponding ends of the metal ring are inserted. A zone is constructed on the metal ring for passing through the stem of the tyre valve. When the ends of the metal ring are inserted into these sockets the passage zone mentioned is situated in the region of an opening in the disc through which the valve stem passes. <IMAGE>
