Vehicle tyre with toroidal body made of elastic material and radial inlay In known radial tyres, the required reinforcement against transverse forces can only be achieved inadequately and with a high degree of outlay particularly in the edge region of the belt. The new arrangement is intended to remedy this and to improve the lateral and oblique running rigidity of vehicle tyres, in particular radial tyres. In the new vehicle tyre, a reinforcement structure made of super-thin platelets which interact with one another mechanically is arranged between the radial inlay and the carcass into the rubber material of the body of the tyre, the said structure leaving the tyre with the necessary degree of flexibility but, when lateral forces act, forming a rigid plate structure which supplies the necessary lateral and torsional rigidity. The new arrangement permits the belt to be of more simple design because it has to absorb virtually no lateral forces.
