摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an image quality that is sharp and which has high image density by laminating in order an energization layer, a thermal resistance layer, an electrically conductive layer, an insulating base material layer and a thermal transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A first layer of a recording material is an energization layer which comprises a resin matrix and an electrical conductivity imparting agent formed from non-electrically conductive organic material or impalable powder of non-electrically conductive organic material the surface of which is metal-coated, and the electrical conductivity imparting agent is incorporated in an amount ranging from 10-400pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the resin matrix. The surface resistance of the so formed first layer ranges from 500-10<7>OMEGA. A second layer of the recording material is a thermal resistance layer which comprises a resin matrix and an electrical conductivity imparting agent, and the latter is incorporated in an amount ranging from 100-1,000pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the former with the latter sharing 40vol.% or more of the resin matrix. The surface resistance of the so formed second layer ranges from 50-10<4>OMEGA. A third layer of the recording material is an electrically conductive layer formed of a metal film and having its surface resistance not more than 20OMEGA, and a fourth layer of the same is an insulating base material layer formed mainly of a resin matrix and adapted not to be destroyed when electrically charge. A fifth layer is a thermal transfer layer formed of a coloring agent and a resin matrix. Thus, these layers are laminated in the order listed above, and a sharp recorded image can be obtained when electrically charged.
