NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R<1> and R<2> represent H or 1-5C alkyl; R<3> represents 1-5C alkyl optionally containing halogen, alkenyl or 3-6C cycloalkylmethyl; A represents H or nucleophilic compound's residue) and salt thereof. EXAMPLE:(6R,7R)7-[(Z)-2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-(1-methoxy-5-hydroxy-4 -pyridon-2- yl)methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-(1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-yl)thiomethyl-ceph-3-e m-4- carboxylic acid. USE:An antimicrobial agent useful for Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which also has powerful action against beta-latamase-producing bacteria. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II (R<10> represents H or amino- protecting group) or reactive derivative thereof is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III (R<11> represents H or carboxy-protecting group), etc., followed by elimination of protecting groups.
