<p>A copolymer emulsion latex with a solids content of 20% to 70% by weight contains at least 40% by weight of vinyl alkanoate, eg acetate, in the monomer charge. This latex has good rheology and dry pick strength for paper coating and is prepared using an unsaturated surfactant and a surfactant providing sharp nucleation.</p> |
