A power-steering unit for a vehicle, comprising a speed transducer (15) generating a signal which is a function of the speed of the vehicle, and modulating means (16, 17) for modulating the degree of power-steering, which means are connected to the speed transducer and respond to the said signal in such a way as to reduce the degree of power-steering as the speed of the vehicle increases. So that the steering unit is simple, and hence reliable and economical, the speed transducer is an aeolian transducer adapted so as to move away from a rest configuration as the speed of the wind which blows through it increases, and to generate a signal which is a function of its distance from the rest conditions. <IMAGE>
