PURPOSE:To shorten an output processing time by detecting the boundary between an image data presence area and an empty area, and exploding a next page immediately after read scanning reaches the boundary. CONSTITUTION:A means for detecting the boundary between the image data presence area and empty area in an image memory is provided. For example, a control signal, etc., are inputted from a CPU, etc., to an interface part 1, data to be printed are stored in blocks 2a-2d of a page buffer 2 correspondingly, and an explosion control part 3 explodes the data stored in the page buffer 2 into the image memory 5. Then, a main control part 6 controls data transfer with the CPU, etc., through an interface part 1 to drive a printing mechanism 8 through a print control part 7. A signal for requesting the data explosion processing of the next page is sent to the explosion control part 3 through a maximum address detecting part 10, comparing part 11, etc. |
