发明名称 BASE BODY FOR PHOTOSENSITIVE BODY
摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease surface waving on the image forming side surface of a base body for a photosensitive body and to increase the surface roughness thereof by cutting the image forming side surface of the base body for the photosensitive body near a zero cutting region by using a cutting tool constituted of a sintered diamond tip having a straight part in a part of the cutting edge. CONSTITUTION:A stretch-drawn pipe constituted of an aluminum alloy is used as the base material used for production of the base body for the photosensitive body and the surface of this aluminum pipe stock is cut near the zero cutting region by a precision lathe. The flat cutting tool 10 which has the tip constituted of the sintered diamond and has the straight cutting edge 11 with some roundness in shoulder parts 12 is used as the surface cutting tool. As a result, the surface waving on the image forming side surface is decreased and the surface roughness is increased. A photoconductive layer is securely adhered onto such surface. The unequality of the photoconductive layer by the surface waving is thus decreased and the generation of line-like noises on the image is suppressed.
