PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of a rolling bearing extensively by preventing an early break-away in a good condition, even in a severe using condition such as a high temperature, a high vibration, and a water invasion. SOLUTION: This rolling bearing is used by providing plural rolling bodies between a fixed ring and a rotary ring. In this case, at least the fixed ring is composed of a steel including C: 0.35 to 0.55%, Cr: 11.0 to 17.0%, N: 0.05 to 0.2%, and the remaining part: Fe and other unavoidable components, and C+N: more than 0.45% and less than 0.65%, in the weight ratio. Furthermore, the surface hardness after the heat treatment is made more than HRC 57, and the diameter of a eutectic carbide produced on a bearing ring is made less than 10μm.
