PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a human body surely and permit the control of the supply of an electric power to a heater by a controller without spoiling the handling convenience of an electric carpet or increasing the cost of the same. SOLUTION: An electric carpet is equipped with a face type heat generating body 2, accommodating a heater, generating heat electrically, a controller 3 for controlling the supply of an electric power to the heater and a cover member 4 for covering the surface of the plane type heat generating body 2. The controller 3 is provided on the peripheral rim part of the face type heat generating body 2 while a human body detecting sensor 6 is arranged on the upper surface of a housing 5 for the controller 3. A part between the human body detecting sensor 6 and the end rim of the cover member 4 in the upper surface of the housing 5 for the controller 3 is formed as a face unit 7, not covered with the cover member 4. |
