The folding container is slightly trapezoidal in shape and is made from a single sheet of material, e.g. cardboard, which is cut and folded to make the base (101), side (111,113), and end (115,117) panels. The two end panels (115,117) are equipped with additional flaps (119,121,123,125) which fold in to reinforce the box sides. The upper edges of the side panels (11,113) have additional panels in three sections (127,131,133;129,135,137) which fold over to reinforce the sides and ends of the box respectively. The end reinforcing flaps have holes (145,147,149,151) in them which align with similar-shaped holes (139,141) in the end panels to make carrying handles.
