<p>PURPOSE:To increase a link using rate by increasing the rate of a selection packet during the use which is not empty out of selection packets to send repeatedly a preselection packet to a preselection network and input to a selection network and sorting and routing the packet inputted to a selection network and communicating it to the target output port. CONSTITUTION:When a packet inputted to a self-routing multistage switch 126 is once accumulated to packet buffers 110-117, a preselection packet of preselection network information 143 only is sent to a preselection network 124, when the preselection packet to aim at same output ports 130-137 exists, only one packet out of the preslection packets to aim at the same output port is made into a surviving packet and the fact that other packet cannot survive is reported to the packet 110-117. Based on the report, a preselection packet inputted to the preselection network next is controlled and a series of these actions is repeated. Thus, all packets inputted from the packet buffers 110-117 to a selection network 125 does not include the packet to aim at the same output port. Thus, the self-routing multistage switch excellent in the link activity ratio is realized.</p> |
