<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a device for recovering, purifying and storing used refrigerant by combining a refrigerant evaporator, a condenser and an oil separator together in a closed canister having a top wall, a bottom wall and a substantially cylindrical side wall as a single and integral assembly. CONSTITUTION: In a refrigerant recovery system 10 having a compressor 18, the compressor has an inlet connected to a cooling system for recovering refrigerant through an evaporator and a solenoid valve 28 and an outlet connected to a refrigerant storage container 50 through a condenser. The evaporator and the condenser are housed in a cylindrical closed canister 80 for heat exchanging and oil separation. The canister has an oil drain valve 86 on its bottom part. The refrigerant storage container is supported by a scale having a limit switch 68. This switch controls to stop or prevent the recovery of refrigerant when the container is full of refrigerant. An entire system including all control electronic parts is mounted on a two-wheel hand truck 12.</p> |
