The device has three fingers (2) which are fixed to a plate (3), at the corners of a triangular prism. The plate is fixed to the top part of a clamp (4) which holds the device on a horizontal support. The space between the fingers is sufficient to allow the user's fingers to be moved between them. After the balloon has been inflated, its open end is stretched longitudinally and put round the fingers. Its free end is passed over and under the stretched part to form a knot which shrinks when it is removed.
