PURPOSE:To obtain the above superconductor having uniform composition, by hydrolyzing yttrium alkoxide and/or an alkoxide compound of a lanthanide element together with barium alkoxide and copper alkoxide and baking the reaction product. CONSTITUTION:A gel or sol reaction product is produced by mixing (A) 1mol. of a mixture of yttrium alkoxide and/or an alkoxide compound of a lanthanide element (e.g., La, Ce or Eu), barium alkoxide and copper alkoxide with (B) 5-20mol. of water and (C) 0.03-0.5mol. (based on 1mol. of water) of an alcohol and heating the mixture at >=90 deg.C to effect the hydrolysis and condensation reaction. The reaction product is as necessary applied to a substrate and baked in air. |
