PURPOSE:To obtain an easily bakable ceramics resistor having dense texture and a resistivity of 10-1,000OMEGAcm, by applying an electrode to a sintered material composed of nickel oxide and a lithium oxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective ceramics resistor is composed of a sintered material containing 0.3-8mol.% of lithium oxide (in terms of lithium carbonate) and the remaining part of nickel oxide and electrodes applied to the opposite faces of the sintered material. The resistivity exceeds 1,000OMEGAcm when the amount of the lithium carbonate is <=0.3mol.% and decreases to <=10OMEGAcm when the amount is >=8mol.%. Lithium can be added in the form of lithium oxide (Li2O), lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) or lithium nitrate (LiNO3). It is effective to and 0.5-10mol.% of silicon oxide to control the resistivity of the present resistor. Silicon oxide forms crystal grains having high resistance in the nickel oxide crystal to increase the resistivity. The baking temperature is preferably 700-1,500 deg.C. |
