PURPOSE:To simplify a control system and enhance reliability, by bringing a pad roller into contact with a recording head and releasing the pad roller from the head by a pad lever oscillated following up to protruding and retracting operations of developing heads all of which are retracted at the time of reversing a recording paper. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reversing a recording paper 4, all of a group of developing heads 83 are lowered, and a pad roller 82 is released from an electrostatic recording head 81. At the time of recording, one head in the recording head group 83 is protruded to a prescribed position F to lift up one end of an operating element 88, and the position of a pin 89 is also raised. As a result, a pad lever 85 is rotated on a pin 86, the pad roller 82 presses the paper 4 against the recording head 81 to form an electrostatic latent image on the paper, and the latent image is developed by the developing head 83d. A bent piece 90 of the operating element 88 is provided with a predetermined taper so that an operating stroke of the pad lever 85 is constant irrespective of which one of the developing heads is protruded. |
