PURPOSE: To construct an exchange plane simplifying hardware by separating data transmission from signaling information in the structure of the exchange system using an out band and signaling procedure. CONSTITUTION: A link adaptor 24 is connected to respective input optical fibers 32 to convert an optical data signal into an electric data signal. A link adaptor 26 is connected to respective output optical fibers 34 to convert a provided electric data signal into an optical data signal. Clock point switches 2 to 8 consist of plural exchange planes and selectively connect the adaptors 24, 26 so as to selectively connect the fibers 32, 34. A matrix control device 10 controls the switches 2 to 8 so as to selectively connect the adaptors 24, 26 after the lapse of controllable delay time to be the traffic request relation of the system. |
