<p>PURPOSE:To detect the cause of bug of software, trouble of hardware, or the like in the early stage even at the time of executing several hundreds steps by one instruction of a microprogram by providing a trace unit. CONSTITUTION:When an address of the microprogram to be traced and an address of a memory where trace information is stored are designated, they are stored in a trace unit 5 by an executing unit 4. The execution address of the microprogram generated by a microprogram counter control unit 2 is compared with the address, which is stored in a trace microprogram address register 51 of the unit 5, by a comparing circuit 53. When both addresses coincide with each other as the result, an interrupt signal indicating trace is outputted from the circuit 53 to the unit 2 to stop read of a main program, and information in a microprocessor is traced by the unit 4. Thus, the cause of bug of software, trouble of hardware, or the like is found in the early stage.</p> |
