PURPOSE:To improve a durability of burner head and realize easy fabrication thereof by constructing the surface combustion burner head from a number of heat resistant spherical granules sandwiched between upper and lower wire nets. CONSTITUTION:A burner head 1 is constructed of a number of spherical granules 2, each being formed of heat-resistant material such as ceramics. Spherical granules 2 are covered with a stainless steel wire net having a mesh size slightly smaller than diameter of respective granules 2 so that only an upper portion of individual granules disposed therebelow is allowed to project from a surface of the wire net. Spherical granules 2 are supported by underlaid wire net 4 of appropriate shape into which a whole shape of burner head is fitted. A circumferential edge of the burner head 1 is closed with an annular ring member 11 so as to prevent the granules from falling off therethrough, since individual spherical granules have a proper degree of freedom, clogging of burner head 1 and, therefore, impeded flow of combustion gas are prevented and a damage to the granules is minimized. |
