<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently perform an atypical business by extracting an arbitrary picture area from displayed picture information in the interactive form and merging and displaying it on a window and rewriting merged picture information. CONSTITUTION:When receiving the start instruction from an I/O interface 5, a merge window generating controller 2 generates a new merge window and rewrites data in a window buffer 7 and initializes a pertinent column of a merge window management link table 4. Contents of the table 4 are rewritten in accordance with window names of already generated windows accepted by the interface, coordinates of the merge area on windows, and merge coordinates. An instruction to rewrite picture information on individual windows by an application program is sent from a main processor 6 to rewrite contents of the buffer 7, and simultaneously, a display controller 3 receives it to check the table 4, and contents of the buffer 7 are rewritten if necessary, thus efficiently performing the atypical business.</p> |
