PURPOSE:To improve the running stability and durability of a medium by using specific dibasic acid ester contg. fluorine as a lubricating agent. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic recording medium contains the dibasic acid ester expressed by formula I. In formula, at least either of R1, R3 denotes fluorine contg. alkyl; R2 denotes -(CH2)n-, -(CH=CH)-; (n) denotes 2-6. The compd. expressed by formula II is usable as the lubricating agent expressed by the formula. This compd. may be used by mixing the same in a magnetic coating compd. or impregnating the same in a coated film. Said compd. may be used by top coating or impregnating the same in a thin film in the case of the thin film medium on which a magnetic material is deposited by evaporation. |
