PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material decoration method by which a building material having semitransparency and deeper appearance can be obtained without adversely affecting advantages of the coated surface with a clear coating material, such as good blocking resistance. SOLUTION: This method comprises subjecting the surface of a building material to color coating and thereafter, subjecting the color-coated surface of the building material to clear coating, wherein in the clear coating stage, the color-coated surface of the building material is coated with a clear coating material containing KANSUISEKI (white Japanese marble) powder.
