PURPOSE: To reduce mechanical parts to observe a wall surface at high speed by irradiating light to the wall surface from a sonde elevated in a borehole, reflecting the reflected light by conical mirrors so as to be image-focused on an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: Reflected light after irradiating a hole wall from a light source 13 in a soude 14 elevated in a borehole enters conical mirrors 4, 5 arranged coaxially with the sonde 14. The reflected light is focused as a wall surface image through a lens 3 on the end of an optical fiber 2-2 arranged on the circumference, and its optical signal is converted into an electric signal by a photoelectric conversion part 2-1. The electric signal is processed in a scan part 1 to obtain a continuous wall surface image. Accurate position information obtained by a sonde position detecting means comprising an azimuth meter 8, a tachometer 9 and an inclinometer 10 is further added to observe the wall surface in detail. |
