This invention is a means or a device to make a reinforcing iron piece for a rubber packing for use in an automobile. This rubber packing is called weatherstrip as an alias. Forming shearing lines on a iron strip by passing the iron strip through a pair of shearing rollers equipped with shearing blades around their circumferences, the iron strip formed is passed with shearing lines through a pair of rollers forming round rings around their circumferences under a pressure of 180 to 250 ton per square centimeter. As a result a reinforcing iron piece with notches is reasily obtained.
