PURPOSE:To make a partition wall made of an insulator separate from X and Y electrodes unnecessary to be provided by integrally protruding a conductor partition section to form a discharge cell for display between X and Y electrodes on the parallel display surface of at least one electrode of vertical type X and Y electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Multiple rows of vertical type X and Y electrodes discharging for display are provided in turn between adjacent parallel discharge faces with the discharging gap of d1 on a dielectric layer 2. Conductor partition sections 6 and 7 with the distance d2 between the tip face and the other electrode face shorter than d1 are integrally protruded on the parallel discharge face of at least one electrode of X and Y electrodes, and a discharge cell S for display can be formed between the X and Y electrodes by the conductor partition sections 6 and 7. No partition wall made of an insulator is thereby required to be provided separately from the X and Y electrodes. |
