PURPOSE:To remove the limitation of the tracking and position measurement range of a moving body by forming a light beam generator and a reception detector which are provided to a fixed station on the same optical axis with a light beam scanning means. CONSTITUTION:The light beam scanning means 330 provided to the fixed station 30 is composed of the light beam generator 310, a photodetector 370 which reflects a light beam generated by the light beam generator 310 by a retroreflecting body 410 provided to the moving body 40 and photodetects the retroreflected beam RB, and a scanning mechanism 360. Then the generator 310 and detector 370 are formed integrally having the same optical axis as the optical axis of the light beam LB. Then they are fitted rotatably to the movable part of the scanning mechanism 360 and the scanning mechanism 360 which includes X-axial and Y-axial pulse motors 361 and 362 rotate them freely on an X axis and a Y axis. |
